Happy Friday! I’ve been feeling waffles this week and after finding this adorable honeycomb waffle maker, I knew it was time to make something sweet. Of course, where there’s honey, there’s a Pooh Bear and so I’m excited to share Pooh’s Honeycomb Waffles! These honeycomb shaped honey waffles are light, fluffy, and perfect with a drizzle of honey and some fresh fruit!

Since they’re inspired by Pooh Bear, these waffles feature Pooh’s favorite food–honey! I used honey to sweeten the waffle batter and bring a warm, rich flavor to the waffles. Of course, you can never have too much honey, so I also drizzled some on top of the waffles after they’d cooked. I love fresh fruit on my waffles and so I paired them with some fresh blueberries and banana slices.

To make Pooh’s Honeycomb Waffles, start by whisking together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, butter, vanilla, and egg. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until combined. Add the honey and whisk until the batter is smooth.

To make the honeycomb pattern, I used a Dash Mini Honeycomb Waffle Maker, which I found online at Target. I hadn’t used a Dash waffle maker before, but I loved how cute the waffles came out and I was impressed with how quickly and evenly they cooked. This waffle maker makes one mini waffle at a time and the batter made 8 waffles.

To cook the waffles, heat the waffle maker according to its instructions. Mine took a couple minutes to get hot. Once hot, spoon a couple spoonfuls of batter into the waffle maker and cook according to the waffle maker instructions. My waffles took about 1-2 minutes to get a nice golden brown.
