One of my favorite treats are chocolate covered strawberries. They’re not as heavy as a typical dessert and I love the combination of fresh strawberry and chocolate. Although I usually think of any kind of chocolate dipped treat as a fancy or elegant dessert, these Mickey and Minnie dipped strawberries are actually very easy to make!

I decided to use Wilton Candy Melts for dipping. In the past I’ve used regular chocolate chunks, but since I wanted my strawberries to be a nice Mickey Mouse red color, I decided the red candy melts would be easier to work with. If you would prefer to use regular white chocolate, just make sure to use an oil based food coloring to dye it red. To complete my Mickey and Minnie inspired treats, I used white candy melts, some of which were dyed yellow.

Since the colored candy melts do have more of a vanilla taste, feel free to dip some strawberries in light cocoa candy melts or regular chocolate for an extra treat! Enjoy!
