Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoon Butter
  • 10 oz Regular Size Marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips
  • Sprinkles

Instructions

Rice Krispies:

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Once butter has melted, add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Add cereal to marshmallow mixture. Stir until well coated (it helps to coat spatula in a little bit of cooking spray).
  3. Using spatula, press mixture into baking sheet (covered in cooking spray or wax paper). Once spread out, spray cookie cutter with cooking spray and cut out the krispies. Move cut out krispies to second baking sheet covered with wax paper.

  4. Decorate! If you would like krispies with sprinkles but no chocolate, make sure to put the sprinkles on before the krispie cools.
  5. If coating in chocolate, leave krispies to cool while you prepare the chocolate.

Chocolate Dipped Ears:

  1. Fill large pot halfway with water and bring to a boil (I used my electric tea kettle to boil the water while I made the krispies and then just added it to the pot). Once water is boiling, turn to low heat.
  2. Place double boiler piece or small pot inside large pot and add the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Do not let water get into the chocolate or it will freeze up.
  3. Melt the chocolate, stirring with rubber spatula until smooth.

  4. Use rubber spatula and/or flat frosting spatula to cover ears in chocolate.

  5. Once covered, add sprinkles before chocolate sets.

  6. Place krispies on wax paper and let chocolate set. Krispies can be kept in the fridge, just allow them to come to room temperature before eating.
