Happy Friday! This week, Wreck-It Ralph celebrated its 10th anniversary! Inspired by the Sugar Rush game in the movie, Vanellope’s Sugar Rush Sundae has strawberry and cookies and cream ice creams, chocolate sauce, whipped cream and a collection of candies and cookies!

I don’t play a lot of video games but I remember liking that both classic and new games come together in Wreck-It Ralph. I especially liked the Sugar Rush game that Vanellope is from. Not only is the game very sweets focused, but I liked how the terrains for the racing game were made out of different sweet treats. And so for this week’s dessert, I immediately thought of an ice cream sundae as there’s nothing quite as sugary and sweet as ice cream piled high with chocolate sauce, candies, and cookies.

For Vanellope’s Sugar Rush Sundae, you can use any ice cream you’d like! I chose Strawberry (it reminded me of the Sugar Rush color scheme), and Cookies and Cream (it’s one of my favorite flavors). I picked up some pints from my local Van Leeuwen’s shop, but again, just pick your favorite brand and flavors! Depending on what kind of candy you have, I think a chocolate flavor would be great. Also can’t go wrong with a classic Vanilla!

I tend to like more vertical sundaes, so I made mine in a small to medium size glass. You could also use a large glass (if you’re looking for a big sundae) or a bowl. I placed a large scoop of Cookies and Cream in the glass and then topped it with a large scoop of Strawberry.

For the toppings, I did a mix of classic sundae and over the top sweetness. First, I added some chocolate sauce and whipped cream. I used Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Sauce, but any kind of chocolate sauce or even hot fudge would be great. I made my own whipped cream by beating some heavy cream to medium peaks. You could also use store bought whipped cream. Finally, I added mini Oreo cookies and some candy. For the candy, you can use whatever sounds good. I rummaged through my leftover Halloween candy to find some that were colorful and fun. I settled on some regular M&Ms and Halloween Kit-Kats (Witch’s Brew and Breaking Bones). The sundae would also be great with Snickers, Milky Way, Twix, and more!

Once your sundae is assembled, dig in and enjoy! Happy 10th Anniversary Wreck-It Ralph!
