Happy Friday! With happy haunts starting to materialize around Disney, I felt a touch of the Halloween spirit this week. Adding to that, EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival is starting soon and so this week I’m excited to share these Pumpkin Chai and Caramel Milkshakes! Originally found at the Ireland Marketplace during the festival, the pumpkin, chai, and caramel flavors come together in this delicious fall inspired summer treat!
Chai is one of my favorite drinks and I love addition of pumpkin during the fall months. Of course, it’s still 85 degrees where I live and so it doesn’t really feel like fall yet. So when I came across this recipe for Pumpkin Chai and Caramel Milkshakes, I knew it would be a fun way to celebrate the start of Disney’s Halloween season!
To make these milkshakes, you’ll need a pumpkin chai tea bag, vanilla ice cream, and caramel sauce. I used the pumpkin chai tea bags from Tazo, some caramel sauce from Kahuku Farms (a favorite Hawaiian brand), and a local vanilla ice cream. First, brew the pumpkin chai in 6 tablespoons of hot water. Let it cool and then combine the chai, ice cream, and caramel sauce in a blender. Blend until smooth and pour into serving glasses.
Top the milkshakes with crumbles of shortbread cookies and serve!
