Happy Weekend! I’ve been missing being in the Disney parks this week and while living vicariously though posts on Instagram sorta helps, I wanted something a bit more tangible. And so, I decided to re-create the Mickey Milkshake from Schmoozies in Disneyland. Originally made for the Get Your Ears On Celebration, this delicious cookies and cream milkshake is topped with whipped cream, colored sprinkles, and, of course, Oreo Mickey ears!

I absolutely love cookies and cream and while the flavor is used a lot in Disney desserts, I’m always excited to see what they do with it. This milkshake is perfectly thick and creamy and the flavor has just enough chocolate to satisfy without being overpowering. It’s also super easy to make!

Since milkshakes do have a tendency to melt as they sit, I started with decorating the cups so that once the milkshakes were made they could be quickly poured into the cups and enjoyed. Since there is a layer of sprinkles around the top of the cups, I definitely recommend using a cup that smooth on the outside as it will be easier to decorate.

To decorate the cups, I started by spreading a thin layer of white frosting along the outside of the cup. Since the frosting isn’t necessarily going to be eaten, I used a store bought can of vanilla frosting. The layer of frosting should cover about 1-2 inches of the cup. I definitely just eyeballed it and adjusted as I frosted until it was a length that looked good on the cup.

Once the cups are frosted, cover the frosting with red sanding sugar. I did this over a large bowl so that the extra sugar was captured and could be reused. To add the Mickey buttons, dab a little bit of frosting on yellow M&Ms and stick two on the cups.

Once the cups are ready, combine all of the ingredients in a blender, process until fully combined, and pour milkshakes into prepared cups.

To add the last bit of Mickey flair, add a swirl of whipped cream to the top of each milkshake and sprinkle with yellow, red, and black sprinkles. Add two Oreo Mickey ears and enjoy!
