Happy Friday! It’s been super hot here and so I’ve been reluctant to turn on the oven. Luckily, I have a strong love for ice cream and milkshakes to satisfy my sweet tooth! This week’s recipe comes straight from Auntie Gravity’s in Disney World. This Asteroid Shake is a chocolate milkshake topped with whipped cream, graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate doughnut hole Mickey ears!

This milkshake recently became available at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, which is located in Tomorrowland at Disney World. They have a great selection of ice cream and frozen treats to help you cool off on hot park days. And when you’re not in the Parks, you can cool off with this fun milkshake at home!

This space themed shake is super easy to make. It consists of chocolate ice cream, milk, graham cracker crumbs, whipped cream, and chocolate doughnut holes. If you’d like to decorate the cup, you’ll want some hot fudge or chocolate sauce.

First, decorate a tall smooth sided glass with hot fudge streaks. To do this, I used Smucker’s Hot Fudge Topping, which I warmed briefly in the microwave as my jar had been in the refrigerator. Dip a spoon or thin spatula into the hot fudge and then spread it across the inside of the glass to make stripes.

Next, make the graham cracker crumbs by placing 1-2 graham crackers into a plastic bag and mashing them with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer until the crackers become fine crumbs.

For the doughnut hole ears, you can use any chocolate ones you can find. My local doughnut shop and Dunkin’ were out, so I used Entenmann’s Pop’ems (Rich Frosted). They’re a little darker than the ones in the park since they’re frosted vanilla and not glazed chocolate, but it works out okay!

To make the milkshake, combine the milk and chocolate ice cream in a blender and blend until smooth. You can use your favorite plain chocolate ice cream! Pour the shake into the prepared glass and then add a swirl of whipped cream. Then, sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs on top of the whipped cream, and then add two doughnut holes to make the Mickey ears.
