Orange Chocolate Disney Candies

These simple chocolates are a delicious Disney treat!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag of light cocoa candy melts
  • 10-12 red candy melts
  • 2-3 drops orange extract (oil based)

Special Equipment

  • 1 Disney shaped silicone mold
  • 2 disposable piping bags

Instructions

  1. Place light cocoa candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave candy melts at 50% power, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. 

  2. Once melted, add a few drops of oil based orange extract and stir until incorporated.
  3. Fill a piping bag with the melted chocolate and cut off a small part of the tip.
  4. Using the piping bag, fill the molds with chocolate. Once filled, tap mold on the counter a few times to remove any air bubbles.
  5. Place mold in the freezer for 10-15 min. Cover a wire cooling rack with wax paper and set aside.

  6. Once chocolate is hardened, remove from the mold and place onto prepared cooling rack.

  7. Repeat steps 4-5 until all the chocolate in the piping bag is used.
  8. Place red candy melts in microwave safe bowl and microwave until smooth, stirring every 30 seconds.
  9. Fill a piping bag with the melted red candy melts and cut a small part of the tip off.

  10. Drizzle red chocolate over the molded candies. Place in refrigerator for 2-3 minutes or until the red drizzle has set. 

  11. Fill mold with any remaining melted red candy melts and freeze for 10-15 minutes.

  12. Keep chocolates in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place.
