Ingredients

Rice Krispies

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 10 oz regular size marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Decorations

  • 4 ounces white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • yellow sanding sugar
  • orange sanding sugar
  • orange ball sprinkles
  • orange M&Ms
  • candy corn

Instructions

Rice Krispies

  1. Spray a 9x13 baking sheet or glass dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt butter over low heat. Once butter has melted, add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  3. Add cereal to marshmallow mixture. Stir until well coated (it helps to coat spatula in a little bit of cooking spray).
  4. Using spatula, press mixture into prepared baking sheet. Let cool until krispies reach room temperature.
  5. Spray a cookie cutter with cooking spray and cut out the krispies. Move cut out krispies to second baking sheet covered with wax paper. Let rest while you prepare the chocolate coating.
  6. Melt white chocolate using a double boiler. When the chocolate is smooth and melted, use a small rubber spatula to coat the tops of the rice krispies with chocolate.
  7. Starting at the bottom of the Mickey head, sprinkle the orange sanding sugar onto the krispies.
  8. Sprinkle the yellow sanding sugar in a medium size line just above the orange sprinkles.
  9. Gently lift each krispie and shake off the excess sanding sugar.
  10. To make Mickey krispies, add two orange buttons above the yellow sugar. Use M&Ms for the large rice krispies and ball sprinkles for the small rice krispies.
  11. To make Minnie krispies, add two pieces of candy corn to the center of the head to make a bow.
  12. Place decorated krispies in the refrigerator to set for at least 30 minutes.
