It quickly became one of my favorite movies and as I sang along with every song, I was captured by Mary Poppins’ wit, confidence, charm, and firm but loving nature. My favorite thing to eat at Disney World is the gingerbread cookies sold in the Main Street Confectionery, as well as some other bakeries around the parks. Gingerbread is already one of my favorite holiday treats, but there is something so delicious about those Disney gingerbread cookies. They’re thick and soft, and the flavor is the perfect mix of sweet with just a little kick of spice.…

I must say, when Frozen first came out I wasn’t immediately a fan. Although I liked the story of two sisters coming together and realizing that their love for each other was the key all along, there were parts of the movie that really bothered me. As time went on, my feelings for the film softened a bit, and when I saw the broadway play, I loved it.…

Happy December! For me, December really starts the holiday season and I can finally turn up the carols, decorate the house, and break out all of the holiday recipes! Unfortunately, December is also prime cold and flu season and I have been terribly sick this past week so I was delayed in posting this new recipe.…

This month, Mickey Mouse is turning 90 years old and to celebrate I’ll be doing a month of Mickey Mouse inspired cakes! For me, Mickey is a spark of joy, a constant friend, and a reminder of magic and great memories. It’s almost Halloween! Since Halloween falls on a weekday this year, we donned our costumes and decided to celebrate this weekend. Of course, no Halloween party is complete without some spooky treats so I made a batch of these not-so-scary Mickey Mummy Cupcakes!

Hocus Pocus is my all time favorite Halloween movie. Growing up, my mom and I would watch it together and we can still quote the lines back to each other. While the plot of the movie is both a bit ridiculous and (as my boyfriend points out) scary, the silly antics of the Sanderson Sisters, Max and company, and the ever adorable cat Binx, captured my heart and I was an instant fan.…
